About Armature
A new era of understanding.
Armature turns ideas, technical papers and code into narrated visual explanations, with an emphasis on teaching the mechanism, not just summarizing the conclusion.
Why the name Armature?
An armature is a supporting framework. Armature helps you build a framework for understanding: connecting ideas, making mechanisms visible, and turning unfamiliar information into something you can reason about.
Why we’re building it
There is more information to work through than time to understand it. A paper can name a result without making its reasoning intuitive. A coding agent can produce a large change before you have a clear model of how it works.
Armature’s goal is to close that gap: build up the necessary ideas, make relationships visible and use examples to connect an explanation to something you can follow. The ambition is broader than education videos. It is to help people understand the information behind their learning and work.
Built by Sid
I’m Sid Potti, the founder of Armature and a master’s student at Stanford. Trying to learn from technical research and reinforcement-learning writing helped motivate me to build Armature.
I care about the quality of the explanation: the missing “why” steps, the examples that make a relationship click, and visuals that show what is actually happening.
One approach, two ways to use it
Armature makes visual lessons from questions and technical material. Watch the public demos to see examples across algorithms, systems and research.
Codecast by Armature brings narrated walkthroughs into coding workflows, using the question and context selected by your agent. The Codecast guide explains setup and how context is shared.
Still learning, too
Armature is in beta. AI-generated explanations can make mistakes, and research lessons should be checked against their original sources. Public examples help show what the system can do, not guarantee that every generated lesson will be correct.
